I recently had an idea to build a clock using neopixel ring and the popular esp8266 module.
Neopixel wall clock.
Wol clock esp8266 12e 60 led ws2812b analogue digital clock.
The sda and scl to a4 and a5 in the arduino.
The hardest part was getting the code right.
Now use hot glue to attach all the electronics in place the usb breakout is attached using the 6mm screws.
A simple clock using the neopixel 60 ring.
The inner ring shows the hours the outer ring shows minutes and seconds.
Neopixel 1 4 60 ring 5050 rgb led w integrated drivers 9 95 in stock add to cart adafruit ds1307 real time clock assembled breakout board 7 50.
Leave one pair of din and dout disconnected this will be where the neopixel strand begins and ends the microcontroller data pin will connect to the din here.
It ll even keep the time when unplugged.
Neopixel ntp clock using esp8266.
The back of the monitor faces several coworkers so i decided to put the ring and another s.
With the new neopixel 60 ring we have a perfect display for presenting the time with rgb leds.
The neopixel chan serial in si is soldered to arduino pin 6 with the 330 ohm resistor in series.
I am sharing the instructions for others who may want to do the same similar and save some time.
Create your own colorful ring of time using a neopixel 60 ring an arduino or compatible and a real time clock module.
And the tsop1838 is under this.
A couple of weeks ago i noticed the hole in my monitor stand at work is almost exactly the same diameter as a ring of 24 neopixels that i had lying around.
This instructable will guide you through the process of connecting the following parts to create an interesting and accurate analogue digital clock which will automatically set the time from the internet parts needed esp8266 12e module can be bou.
It is controlled by an esp32 which synchronizes the time online with an ntp server.
As i was using.
And the tsop1838 output pin is soldered to arduino pin 10.
This wall clock shows the time on two concentric led rings of 60 24 neopixel leds.
Hours are represented by red minutes by green seconds by blue.
