New Roof Has Ripples In It

I found these ripples on the roof line and can not figure out what would have caused them.

New roof has ripples in it.

They were right at the edge above the soffit area and just a couple of feet long. I m concerned they over tightened the screws or the material is not correct. Ripples can also expose the wooden portions of the roof to moisture that could lead to deterioration as well as rotting. 3 yr old hip roof.
